Maybe a good idea?

The start of a busy week at C&B Towers – Chris is teaching 2 classes, Barbara just one, mailing out our 2014 programme (we like to keep the office junior occupied), and gathering together the shedload of stuff to take with us next Monday to teach free motion quilting. Barbara has cut fabric and batting to make 24 kits for next week’s class

and has unleashed her inner Starch Demon on Chris’s first sample for our Drunkards Square class (one or two places still available, hop over to our website if you’d like to book). We’re both enthusiastic users of starch for fabric preparation and you can see the difference between pieced and pressed and pieced starched and pressed in the following pics. Barbara will admit to also some picky trimming which wasn’t altogether essential but seemed a Good Idea –

above is the sample as retrieved from the depths of a tote bag and now here it is starched, pressed again and trimmed –

Somehow, during the Monday Management Meeting

we appear to have filled several pages in our notebooks with more Good Ideas to develop from this block. We’ll let you know how we get on!
