A universal quilting situation – lots of projects half done, (PhDs), works in progress (WIPs) and never enough time to go back and finish or move to the next step. We had our first finishing day last year and it was a great success – small numbers but lots of projects moved on and finished – so, by popular demand, we’re repeating the formula again this year. Here’s the official-looking blurb –

you are stuck on, want to finish, or are not sure of the next step.
EQ7 and printouts available for planning help
Basket of fat quarters
Books and magazines to leaf through
from the Chris and Barbara studio clearout – fabrics, magazines, books, sewing machine ….
…. we’re both de-cluttering and re-organising our workspaces, there may be all sorts of goodies you can’t live without!
Donations for Douglas MacMillan hospice.
As you can see, we’re going to provide the usual tea, coffee, biscuits & cake and also take along inspirational books, magazines, laptops with EQ7 at the ready, not forgetting our quilting experience of almost 60 years between us (now there’s a really scary thought!) and our willingness to hand out advice and opinions (whether they’re required or not). There’ll be space to set up sewing machines and all the usual paraphernalia and we might even bring soothing music to play in the background (not the guitar??? – Chris) (Delta blues may not be to everyone’s taste! – Barbara) so this might be the perfect opportunity to tackle and progress a couple of the projects that have been set aside. We’ve got plenty of our own unfinished projects to bring along if anyone runs out of their own work!
